Real Estate in the Beach Cities: April 2010

TV or Not TV.....that is the question (at open houses that is)

As I was driving to my open house today and was listening to the Masters golf tournament I started to wonder whether I could, and more importantly should, have it on at my open house.  I have certainly held many homes open and often times there is something compelling on at the time (Dodgers or Laker playoffs, final four...I assume you can tell that I'm from Los Angeles and also a sports fan) and in the past I've turned the TV on to these events if the open house is slow.  The reaction is often good as the potential home buyers often linger a bit longer and we get to talking, but I wondered what other Realtors out there think as I'm sure you all have different ideas of how to successfully hold open houses.

 TV at open houses?

Hot Market in Fusion South Bay

Posted April 4, 2010

The real estate market in Fusion South Baycontinues to be very active with 8 homes currently for sale and all but one of them in escrow.  Only the 2 bedroom unit at 5412 #10 is currently available with 7 homes currently at some point in the escrow process.  Fusion South Bay is a fantastic community built in 2006 and is in the Hollyglen neighborhood of Hawthorne, adjacent to Manhattan Beach.  Of the 8 homes only 2 are short sales which is very unusual for homes built in 2006 which was the peak of the South Bay market.  Visit our Fusion South Bay page for information on current homes for sale.
