Real Estate in the Beach Cities: Something's fishy here.....this listing just doesn't pass the smell test!

Something's fishy here.....this listing just doesn't pass the smell test!

I have a new ocean view listing coming on the market in Redondo Beach and as is often the case, we've had to push out the date that we intend to bring it on the market.  The original plan was to list next week but we've postponed it by a week.  This isn't usual of course as this happens as final preparations take a little more time then planned, remodels aren't complete, the weather isn't cooperating, etc........

But this is a new one to me.

Dead fish in Redondo     Fish in Redondo

Recently Redondo Beach and King Harbor made national news due to millions of fish getting themselves lost in the harbor and then getting themselves into enough of a frenzy to use all of the oxygen in the area and suffocating.  It was a truly amazing scene with fish everywhere, hundreds of onlookers and those with the unfortunate task of cleaning it up.  Unfortunately my soon to be listing is located in the Seascape buildings just east of King Harbor and although the clean up has happened, the smell lingers.  Just another day in California.

Keith ~ I watched the local news with great interest wondering the cause and how the situation would be resolved.  However I never once thought how it might impact your local real estate. Wow different paradigms.

That was an amazing image of the harbor full of dead fish. Wow. Any idea what caused the fish to get lost?

I went down to take a look and it was a pretty unbelievable sight.  Fish everywhere and it was hard not to feel bad for the little guys.
